a quick update

We've been pretty busy since the last update.

My parents came for a visit. It was fun having them here, and they got to see Emily play in two basketball games. The day they left for home, Richard had to make an unexpected business trip... to Australia! He was there for a week, and we are so glad to have him home. I think he is finally over the jet lag, but not the cold that someone on the plane shared with him (and that he shared with us!)

Emily played her last basketball game tonight. They had 3 games this week, and won all three. Now we get to relax for a while, no more basketball all the time!

Evie is doing well in speech therapy. Mrs. S, her teacher, thinks that she is making good progress. She can say all sorts of things now, including "look" and "meatball" (she is cracking all of us up with the "meatball"!)
